6 Reasons to drink a glass of wine each day

So, you may be thinking… do I only need 6 reasons! In a recent Oprah that we watched, yes we love her, Dr Oz was talking about blue zones in the world where people live longer than others, and one of these is Sardinia where they drink an inordinate amount of red wine. Certainly, a country like France, which has a lot of fatty foods suffers from lower heart disease than other parts of the world. This is largely due to their wine consumption.
An indepth article by Health Magazine lists a range of benefits, including:
- Improved memory – only if drunk in moderation of course!
- On average wine drinkers have lower body mass
- Boosts your body’s protection. I.e. wine kills off some nasties
- Reduces risk of ovarian cancer
- Builds better bones (chuck that glass of milk away!)
- Prevents blood sugar issues
Another great benefit we think, is that wine usually is enjoyed with great food and friends and family and this act alone is hugely beneficial to health, wellness and happiness.
