Deconstructing Cabernet Sauvignon with Under the Influence

Last night we had a great discovery tasting of Cabernet Sauvignon at the Roundhouse. We explored:

• Brampton Cabernet Sauvignon
• Belfield Cabernet Sauvignon
• Cederberg Cabernet Sauvignon
• Thelema Cabernet Sauvignon
• De Trafford Cabernet Sauvignon 2002
• And… just because with Cabernet Sauvignon comes Merlot, we tasted the Bein Merlot and the Jordan Cobblers Hill

South African Cab is alive and well according to the Under the Influence Guests! Particular favourites were the Thelema and De Trafford wines, and Bein surprised all with its Merlot. It was really interesting to journey through the different terroir of South Africa and taste the different Cabernet Sauvignon from each region. Deconstructing Shiraz is up next!
