Under the Influence of Italy at Marco Paulo
We had the real pleasure of hosting an Italian food and wine evening at Marco Paulo restaurant in Durban yesterday. The number of Guests swiftly rose from the 30 from the Derivco team and settled on around 80 hungry and thirsty Durbanites. The first thing Marco told me upon arriving was, “I don’t think you have enough wine!” Well, luckily we did and it was an incredible evening. The subtle Italian white wines, melded into a lightly bodied Sangiovese from Tuscany and then into a serious Nebbiolo from Steenberg. The food that Marco prepared was absolutely exceptional, slow prepared from only the best organic ingredients. It really was a slice of Italy in Mount Edgecombe, Durban. Grazie!
